Urgent assistance needed! I finally got around to using my optical input for the first time during an ADAT-to-ProToolsLE transfer. After following the directions from a post about how to set it up, I was able to see input coming in from the ADAT (as well as record it) but I was unable to hear anything. After trying serval things (in Setups) to get audio to come through, I started getting this static noise blasting out of every output on the Digi001 and now it won't go away. Even after quitting ProTools, unplugging the adat from the computer, and restarting the machine the noise is still coming through the Digi001 with ProTools not even running. And another major problem is that I can't even play old sessions or anything. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Please Help!!!

Hello, You might want to start by trashing prefs. With Pro Tools not running go to the System Folder > Preferences and move DigiSetup, DAE prefs and Pro Tools prefs to the trash, empty the trash and restart the CPU. Also, when recording in via optical make sure your sync mode in the Session Setup window is set to Optical instead of internal. And make sure your session is set to the sample rate as the the ADAT. Thanks Mike, but after hours of troubleshooting and a couple days of not being about to use ProTools I accidentally found out that the cable connecting the Digi001 to the PCI board had become partially disconnected. So if anyone ever has this problem (or any problem for that matter) don't be like me forget the first rule of troubleshooting: Check the connections.
