400 Turn Left - New electro retro tune

My latest tune made and mixed in Reaper. Comments good or bad most welcome! :)

well, the mix is well done, but a little too repetetive and the arrangement is not very exciting (lack of originality), I mean funk (e.g. James Brown) is very often very repetetive, as well, but there is a lot of soul and power, well, you have made an electronic track, I am not too much into electronic music, anyway.

Very good mix and clarity, "body" of the song is rich and complex. My critique is that although many phrases are quite good at building tension, there is no climax and release :) I'd suggest that toward the end, lay down some huge kicks and synth warbles, and then a massive drop followed by a return to the original melody. I know, it's cliche, but that's 'cause it works.

Thanks everyone for these great comments! It's interesting to see what is attractive and what is not. In this piece, I wasn't going for power, so I wouldn't want "drops" like you would find in dubstep for example. I especially would not want warbles. I don't see this as dance or techno music - in fact there is kind of a laid back quality to it. Kind of relaxed driving music. The drive of this piece for me is the retro feel, with simple sequences, very analog-sounding drums and everything slightly out of tune. It seems you felt pretty much what I was going for mostlyjustj. Thanks again everyone for listening! :)
