which mac will go with hd3 pci cards

My first time posting i would like to know what mac system will work with hd 3 accel, will the new mac pro work, do they have pci slot it said something about PCIe slots

Assuming you're talking about a PCI-X based Pro Tools system and not PCI-e, then the last Mac that is compatible with this is the G5 dual 2.7 from around 2005. We're still using one of these and it's getting a little long in the tooth if you want CPU power for virtual instruments, but it's still fine as a Pro Tools hardware host.

The other solution is the "official" chassis, since it is still a PCI-X chassis (6 cards max) with a PCIe host card Mark
