Yeah, theoretically you could connect it to the six analog inputs on the back of the 001 (it does operate in the "Stand alone" mode - it has no ADAT output though). You may have to make up a special snake to have TRS outs. But since it costs 3 times the price of the PTLE/001 system, why would you want to? You could get more "bang for the buck" with something like a DigiMax. Seems to me that something with ADAT outs would provide more flexibility for the 001 system.

This may be an old topic but I cant seem to find an answer. Can the new Pre be used with the 001? I am in the market for a 8 channel preamp and am thinking about this one. Thanks for any help
