Any EWI Players Out There?

My buddy is a sax player, by training, and he recently purchased an to add to his arsenal. Do any of you soft-syth users have advice regarding how to start creating your own sounds and playing them through a VST synth, using the EWI as a controller of course? He has an iPhone 5, so he's been looking into the iRig line of products (probably iRig MIDI) to use with Sampletank or possibly Garage Band. The nice thing about his setup is that it includes a wireless receiver, so he could technically connect to REAPER via MIDI and then use REAPER to generate/create sounds via a VSTi. Thanks!

Yep. take a look at this thread I personally hate the parent company of Akai enough to avoid ever buying anything from them again, FWIW.

Thanks, Rob! I missed that thread, somehow, when I was searching. I'll pass-on the resources that you linked in the other thread to my buddy. I'm sure he'll appreciate it! I read about the accounting debacle with Grande Holdings on Wikipedia. Is that what is causing the ill-feelings toward Akai? :)
