G'Day Guys, I posted a help note to Newbieland, (because that's what I am in this home recording thing), regarding setting up EZ Drummer. Well with some very helpful tips, I've got to the stage where I can drag a groove into Reaper from EZ Drummer play it, and hear it!! My problem is when I saved the Project, to retain the drum track, with all the audio settings BPM etc, and closed the project, then opened it again the BPM is dramatically slower than what was saved. I can up the figure on the BPM option or change it in the Prject settings, but when I save it, close it and then recall it, it reverts back to a very slow tempo. This is hair pulling out stuff for me but I'm sure there's something I done wrong that one of you experts here know how to fix, so I look forward to your comments. :o Cheers Ron

When you say BPM are you referring to "file/project settings/project settings" (yes it's twice) and 'timebase for items/envelopes/markers' (which should be set to "beats postition length rate"? If so I'm stumped. If not, please do so as I had all kinds of weird problems with drag/drop midi until I did.

Well I've solved the problem and I'm almost embarassed to let on what the problem was, but if there's someone else out there who encouters the same problem and they see this, it may be of help. Okay what the issue was is essentailly due to my old clunker of a computer. When I opened the saved project again after closing it, EZ Drummer had to reload again in the background, (as it logically would have to do - obviously logic is wasted on me though :o) and as it takes a while for the selected drum kit to load to a point where you can hear them, trying to play the track before this happens produces really screwy effects, from slow timing to drum parts missing. Now what is obviously perfectly clear to most of you I guess, is that if I had rendered that track I could've used that file without needing EZ Drummer to further build up on the final project. So there you go some useless information for the majority of you, but maybe someone who's starting off like me might encounter similar issues. Cheers Ron
