Just wondering if anyone has had the following issue. When trying to burn an audio cd from Jam, Toast, iTunes or Waveburner i'm getting cds that appear stripy to look at and will not play. The burn process behaves as normal but the cds come out striated as if the laser is burning at different intensities. Obviously I suspected the burner and changed it but the replacement is behaving in exactly the same way. This is only with audio cds, data cds/dvd's seem ok. Any ideas?.....please. I've reinstalled the OSX, run disk warrior etc G4 dual 800 OSX 10.4.8 PT 7.3cs1 1.5Gb ram

Just one audio file or many? Internal or External Burner? Audio files are on the Internal system drive or dedicated external/internal Audio drive? Firewire or USB?

Hi I've tried a variety of scenarios from 1 to 4 audio files (from different hard disks all on internal busses and dedicated for audio or storage)

Forgot to mention the burners. I replaced the original internal burner with a dvd/cd burner I used externally.

Are you trying to burn at too fast of a speed? Did You try 4x or 2x? What burner are you using you need to provide more detailed info. Right now from what you say it seems the only common denominator is the System and the computer.
