Audio in Mac?

Hi, All. I know this can be done, but I am rather new to Mac. How do I hookup my 002 and Mackie 824s to play audio CDs through my computer? I have gone to Audio MIDI setup and setup the output pop-up menu to Digidesign HW, but I still cannot seem to get it to work. After doing this, and then going to my sound preferences on the Mac, it shows the 002 listed under the output section but says, "The selected device has no output controls." Hope I am being clear. Thanks for any help!

You are going to need the digidesign CoreAudio driver, found on this site.

It depends on what program you're using to play CDs. If it's iTunes, then set the iTune output to "Core Audio" in the iTune preferences. Note that Digi's Core Audio driver doesn't always work with other applications (like with Garageband, it's hit or miss).

Thanks for your help! So, to reiterate both of your posts, I need to: 1) Download the Core Audio Driver 2) Use iTunes, and set the iTune output to Core Audio. Right? Thanks, again for your time and suggestions.
