Check with They make the VXA drive. I am just installing one now. Also I believe you can get the 30 day free trial- with a 1/2 price buyout at the end for DAW workstation users. 33 gig native. Either SE of LVD SCSI ext or int. They are Retrospect Desktop compatible (Ultra SCSI is enough bandwidth) Perfect for the IBM ATA/66 Deskstar drives. 30 year tape life too. Don't hesitate too long. While my drive was being shipped- my 27 gig Maxtor got lunched. I haven't recovered. 27 gigabytes worth of file after file- with no directories!

Does anyone have any experience with using tape drives to backup session audio data? I figure that I will need about 8 gb to backup a typical project. It looks as though a tape drive is about the only practical option. What are some of you using for backup? I have a computer system bid from one source that recommended a Seagate 4/8gb IDE tape unit. Any comments suggestions are welcome.
