Does phantom ower matter much?

Hi, I am considering to buy a audio USB interface, primarily I want to record guitars maybe bass too. For now I don't plan to record anything on a mic, although I may want in the future recording some classical guitar, for vocals I hardly think I will do it anytime soon, but one never knows about the future. So should I buy a interface that have phantom power (and a massive LEs cubase, sonar ... SW bundle) or one that is almost equal (with also pre amps) but without phantom power that is cheaper (around 1/3 less). Thanks. PS with that money I would be able to put a little more and buy a midi kb controller. ________

If you own condenser microphones they require phantom power, which they get from your card's amp or another external amp from which you can connect the line out to your sound card's line input.

Thanks so one more question are that kind of mic particulary usefull or commun? I mean, if in the future I need to get a mic it will probably be a condenser one? Or one of the others is just as good and/or expensive? ________
