Patches for external synths

How does one have the patches on an external synth show up in Reaper? I want to change the patch on the page and the module change and reflect that as I do in Cubase. Time to dive into that here

You put the reaMidiControl (..I think it's called..) on the track. This gets you a lot of the midi shizzwah that other hosts have in their midi tracks. Once in there you can load map files for patches, but I think the only one included is the GM one. Other are around though.

Some others have been posted on the forum or in the Stash. Otherwise, copy the GM .reabank file and edit it, defining your own banks and instrument names as you wish.
