Anyone got any tips on Mastering within Pro Tools? Gonna try the izotope Ozone, as I have heard some pretty fine results from this already. M

All the Pro/Semipro user really needs is Izotope OZONE , PSP Vintage warmer , and Good Burning Software I get great polished results with only the above. (Izotope does almost everything, read the manual... the Matching EQ is a godsend) For Rough mixes I also use Maxim or still just PSP vintage warmer with maybe a touch of Altiverb

Thanks for the recommendation 'A'. I'll have to checkout out PSP VW. Like yourself, I've used Maxim for some fairly decent results, but having had some test tracks mastered with OZONE, that seems to be outstanding! Thanks for the reply. M

Thanks for the hot tips guys and the links provide great insight. I don't aim to be an ace at Mastering, but I think it's good to learn about the art and what it all means. At the end of the day, it's how it sounds I guess and I believe I have prety good ears LOL. Nice one Mike
