PRO TOOLS 6.1 NOW SHIPPING

I just came from DIGIDESIGN's "The New School Tour" class in San Francisco and received a great news.A DIGI REP guy told me that DIGI will start to send the upgrades for XP tomorrow. On the class everyone had a LAPTOP (Sony VAIO)with PT 6.1 installed. It is pretty cool. FINALLY!

I hope you are right, cause I needed one more $75(or so) debt to add to my list of debts...

well, I'm still confused about the Mac software. I bought my 002 about a month ago, registered, and haven't gotten the Mac 6.x upgrade. And the fact is, I haven't decided - I still might get a Mac. So, basically, I want the choice of the latest version of the two flavors of software I got with the 002 a month ago. Nobody said "you get either Mac OR Windows" software.

I wonder if it's more efficient on the CPU or worst than 5.3?

The DIGI REP guy said that we should get both versions on mail. MAC and/or XP. If for some reason you don't receive it, you have to call support and ask them to send you the copy that you need... In my case (XP User) i already got the upgrade for MAC 2 weeks ago (Mail), now i have to call and let them know that i'm a Windows user...
