HP Laptop am fighting a loosing battle!!

HI, Have a brand new HP laptop, can't get protools to run successfully on it!...have followed all the vista tunning tip on the digi web site. Am I fighting a loosing battle with this machine? can get PT to load up once, then as soon as i try to play back anything get told to change the sample rate in hardware playback engine....do that hit ok system locks out.....have to re-install PT plus updates to get back to the same position! also when I start PT it takes an age to open up a blank project. Some Turion processors are notoriously problematic do you have any other computer options?

Tom is right - Turion is a known incompatibility and likely is the source of the problems. It doubt you'll be able to get this to work with Pro Tools.
