Changing tempo (bmp) to a different one, displaces midi events instead of...

Hi folks, how on earth can I change the settings for that? Default installation, and started a new project, made a midi even or whatever, for a bass line, then 4 midi ones for drums. I duplicated said events a lot, then, when I change the tempo, instead of each midi event to start at each bar as it was originally, they stay at the same place, reamining displaced to the new tempo (instead of "stretching" to the new tempo -measure-). In other words, the size/length of said events remains the same, stay at the same place, but since the bars/measure changed, each midi event stars now in a differente place than the start of the new measure (which is earlier or later). The only ones that remain accurate are the first events (becuase they are at the start of the song). I'll give you a plus: all midi events sound with the new set tempo... funny uh? But now is sound with the new tempo, then silence, then another midi event plays, gets cut... I don't think this is a normal behaviour haha. So in resume: They don't really get displaced, they stay at the same place, that's the problem (instead of sticking to the beginning of the bar where all are located).

I might be wrong, but it sounds like you don't have the timebase of the project set to 'beats, position/length/rate'

You can go to project settings, and on the project settings tab set the default timebase for the project or you can set this for each item on the item properties (you can right-click on the item and select properties, or if you prefer put the properties icon on the item, and click there). Logically, you should set your default timebase according to your needs and in case of need change individual settings.

I did the same thing a while ago. Glad it wasn't a bug!
