There must be something else to it, I couldn't recreate both above crashes. Here's a nitpick of which I don't know with which of the previews it started to occur: The MIDI editor always scrolls it's view to the edit cursor, so if you open an editor window for an item elsewhere than the edit cursor, you have to scroll it's view to see the content. Having two seperate editors open for two items on different places on the timeline is no fun, if you don't use sync mode. Placing the edit cursor in one of them makes the other (inactive) window scroll to view the nice cursor and doesn't show my notworthy midi data anymore until I force it to (which does the same to the other window, of course). Also I think the 'auto scroll during playback' option should be seperate for the Midi editor, independent from the main view (if not in sync mode, of course). I always lose sight...

Preview 6 Crash 

Hi, Reaper has been crashing for me on windows. I've not noticed this on any of the other preview builds as its the first time I've tried the plugin. - New project - Show master track - FX - Insert Psycho Dither (Reaper only) - Windows stops working

Never mind... user error.

Dragging to FIPM Tracks 

This bug is still open, which is new to 2.99: When dragging items from the media explorer onto tracks with FIPM turned on, the "ghost" block is not displayed. (That is, except for the first track and underneath the last track.) Also, the newly added items are displayed at half track height.

the preference to "automatically add/arm envelopes when tweaking parameters in write modes" is not working with JS plugs - not sure if its new but...

The action Options: Toggle move cc events with notes still not working here. Thanks very much for MIDI velocity actions - excellent news indeed!

2.99 preview 6 doesn't allow you to rewire another instance of reaper like the other versions.
