The search feature didn't turn up any information, and the supported soundcards do not list the FocusRite Scarlett 2i2. When I start up Reaper and change it to ASIO, it crashes the program. All applications seem to work except Reaper. I had a Line 6 UX2 previously that worked fine, but since then I've reimaged the PC and made this the sole audio interface. I've even received 2 blue screens of death tonight since installing the audio interface. Below is my system info and the error message : Windows 10 X64 (new image, fully patched) FocusRite Scarlett 2i2 Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X 3 GB GDDR5 X2 Crossfire ASROCK

I used a 2i2 for ages (still use if for the laptop) and it's been running fine for me using Windows 10 x64 on an older (and unsupported) Dell laptop, the current drivers from Focusrite and REAPER. Never a hiccough. (By coincidence, I'd been using a UX2 as well before demoting the 2i2).

I'll back up my system and do a rebuild tonight. If that doesn't work, then I'm off work tomorrow and will call into the HelpDesk. Good thing I kept the box... *sigh*

Rebuilding, patching, installing, several hours later.... It works! Reaper started up perfectly and I was able to select the Scarlett 2i2 in ASIO configuration. Bit extreme of a fix, but worth it if this is the last bump in the road. Now to play with my new Amplifire...muhahaha.

So far, my experience with Reaper crashes are: - either a bad driver - or a bad/unsupported VST. Version 5.11 crashed on some plugins, version 5.15 seems to be much more stable in this area. Haven't had any other crash from the DAW.
