Hi everyone, I'm compiling a list of FAQ's (Frequently asked questions) to post as a sticky on this forum. I think I will probably start with Mike Gilberts check list for buying an 1800. I'd be grateful to hear your suggestions of items we could add to such a list so that we can help newcomers to the forum get the answers that they need quicker. Thanks, Gordon

I would undoubtedly give this link as a good starter. It's not a FAQ though. There are articles in the features for body resto and engine performance mods. The tech archive, in the contents list gives you practical information on just about everything. Sadly, however much you promote a FAQ list, there will always be people who are too lazy to read it or do a little reading at sites like VClassics. They are the ones who post questions like " my brakes are no good, how do I fix it". If your request has clues in it that shows you have at least tried a Google search or even done a search here on the forum, you're much more likely to get a friendly response. Every time I find a site that has useful info on it I add it to a relevant folder in my Favourites. Yes a lot of junk gets put there and it will often be duplicated but you can prune out the junk now and again. There are lots of individual sites out there written by individuals about their car/cars. Some are good some poor but all worth reading at least once.
