Hi there, I've recently moved from Pro Tools to try our Reaper as possible alternative but have experienced some problems. I'm using a digi002 interface Mac 1.83 Ghz Intel Core Duo 2 GB Ram OS 10.6.8 Basically I recorded a guitar track yesterday and all seemed fine. However, when I add a new track and start either recording or playing there's no playback or sound. Once this happens I can no longer playback any of the tracks. The problem seems to start when I add a plug in to the second track but it seems unlikely it's cpu related as I only have two plugins on the other track. There's also an error message that sometimes comes up (independently of the above issue) saying I've lost connection with the hardware interface. Any thoughts? Thanks, Dominic

Sounds like you need to turn monitoring on. Click the button on the relevant track(s) either in the mixer or track panel. It'll toggle from off to on to auto. Also, there are settings in the preferences for closing the audio interface when inactive. See images.

Great, many thanks. I think the issue was actually the digi002 playing up. Some de-oxit on the power harness seems to have resolved it. Appreciate the response though. Best, Dominic

Since your new to the DAW, I would HIGHLY recommend you visit Groove3 and purchase a month's access to the videos and watch Kenny Gioa's REAPER vids. AWESOME stuff, and you will thank me later. Sooooo worth 15 bucks! I actually did like 3 months access because it also has videos on many other plugins.
