The issue at hand though is the error it tosses causes automate_scenarist to halt.... so full automation isn't possible

If you add half d1 functionality you can throw in a script adjustment as well :P Any chance of muxman usage in the future? So we can get rid of scenarist anyway :)

that's what we were saying :) i believe muxman will support it because DVD specs allow it (I believe)

I think that things will speed up a lot if we would use muxman. Scenarist would aonly be needed for projects that need manual intervention (which are quite rare). And maybe (haven't checked yet) muxman will also be able to deal with somewhat exotic structures (different audio streams within pgcs etc)
